Keeping a smile in hospital is vital!

At Pylones, we create joyful objects… and joyful smiles! So naturally, we instantly clicked with Le Rire Médecin: like us, they believe that laughter is a superpower that can work wonders in hospitals. We’re proud to have partnered with this organisation for several years. Their professional clowns bring colour and cheer to children in hospital.

In 2020, during a rather grey period, we wanted to brighten up hospital corridors even more: for each reusable fabric mask sold (€9.90), we donated €1 to the charity. The result? Thousands of hidden smiles… behind the masks, but shining through the eyes!

At Pylones, we couldn’t resist getting involved. In 2020, over 10,000 masks were sold, and we were thrilled to donate €10,000 in September.

For nearly 30 years, they’ve been making magical appearances in children’s hospital wards, bringing prescriptions of joy, imagination and red noses! Their mission? To bring lightness and laughter where it's needed most.

Their superpowers?

Helping children cope with illness, fear or pain by reconnecting them with play, imagination and joy.

Giving families moments of relief, comfort and smiles.

Supporting medical staff by lightening the atmosphere during certain procedures.

Promoting kindness in hospitals -because care also means respect, listening… and a touch of madness!

Training future hospital clowns through their own professional institute

The result? Laughing children, relieved parents, supported caregivers… and hospitals where life still sparkles!
