BlogSecret Santa for under €20: a gift for every colleague
Christmas is approaching and the Secret Santa draw has just taken place. Your mission: find an original gift for under €20 that will surprise your colleague and stand out from the usual mugs and boxes of chocolates.
To rise to the challenge, Pylones has given everyday objects a fun twist to bring a little colour and cheer to the office. Whether they're a coffee lover, a meticulous organiser or a sports enthusiast, there's a little something for every colleague! Here are our ideas for treating them without going over your budget.
What should you get for a coffee-loving colleague?
Whether it’s 8.30am, 10am, 3pm or 5pm, they wouldn’t miss their coffee break for anything in the world! To make this moment even more pleasant, give them an espresso cup to replace the usual paper cup, along with coffee spoons to stir in sugar or a little cinnamon. And for those who like to extend their break with a cigarette, a stylish pocket ashtray and a matching cigarette case will definitely be a hit!
How to make a colleague who’s always cold happy?
Always wrapped up in their puffer jacket or blanket, your colleague is constantly freezing and has ice-cold hands. Why not put together a little, budget-friendly winter survival kit to keep them warm throughout the cold months? To start with, nothing beats a hand warmer. Practical and reusable, it slips easily into their bag or pocket so they can warm up a bit, even in the middle of a meeting! To stay cosy in style, add a pair of fun socks. And to finish off the kit, a tea infuser will let them brew their favourite teas.
What’s a good gift idea for an organised colleague?
Their motto: "A place for everything and everything in its place". Their desk is always perfectly organised and every item has its designated spot. To avoid disrupting their routine, give them an accessory that will help them keep their desk tidy. We recommend the glasses holder, which is very handy for keeping their glasses safe, or the Piu Piu magnetic paperclip holder, which will stop paperclips from ending up all over their desk. And to free up some space, the handbag hook will allow them to keep their bag within easy reach, without having to put it on the floor!
What gift should you get for a foodie colleague?
Snack breaks with the team and fresh pastries straight from the bakery are among their favourite moments. They always have a treat on hand and love to snack at their desk. To keep their workspace clean, there's nothing better than the Aspimiette, which will vacuum up those little croissant crumbs in the blink of an eye! An affordable little gift that will make the whole team laugh. You could also give them a cake server for office birthdays, along with some glass markers so everyone can find their own drink during these festive occasions.
How can you surprise a sporty colleague?
We all know that colleague who watches what they eat and never skips a workout. To help them carry their home-cooked meals to the office, go for a leak-proof, easy-to-clean lunchbox for less than €20, complete with matching cutlery. And to ensure they stay hydrated throughout the day, give them a mini insulated water bottle, which will keep their drink cool or hot without taking up too much space in their sports bag.
Whether your colleague is always cold, has a sweet tooth or is into sport, you'll find the perfect Secret Santa gift at Pylones, all for less than €20! And if you're still looking for inspiration to spoil your loved ones, check out our selection of Christmas gift ideas for women and men.
